PREPARE YOUR BOAT FOR FALL/WINTER WEATHER
posted 10/28/2025
Once again, we urge you to think about prepping your boat for the annual deluges, wind and even cold and snow. It doesn’t take long to check your lines, winterize your freshwater system and ensure your bilge pumps are functioning properly. The trades at Thunderbird are happy to assist in this process.
Lastly, if you plan on being away during these coming months, please arrange to have someone check your vessel regularly to ensure all is well.
Proof of how important this preparation is came this past rainy Saturday and Sunday, when a beautiful 25-foot vessel rapidly sank to such an extent that a commercial salvage crew had to come in and raise the boat.
REMINDER: Sunday Office Closures
As in previous years, we will be closing the office on Sundays during the quieter boating months. Sunday closures begin on November 30th.
You may still book a Lift/Launch if required during this period, as our yard crew will continue to be on-site and on-duty to assist you.
Thunderbird Yacht Sales will be open by appointment only.
