Water Lines Blowout Feb 5 and Other News

WATER SYSTEM SHUT DOWN
Crocuses were blooming, the daffodils were starting to poke their heads up, and spring felt like it was almost here. That was until the Arctic blast hit us!
Despite our efforts (leaving taps opened at the end of each dock) we have decided that we must waive the white flag. The long-term forecasts show nightly subzero temperatures through Valentine’s Day; we can’t run water non-stop for that long. On Tuesday Feb. 5th our crew will shut off the water system and blow down the lines.
For those needing to fill up your water tanks we do leave our water system on at the hoist dock. Please ask the office for direction should you need this service while the system is down.
As we are late in the season, we are hopeful that the system will not be down long and we will return to normal operations later this month.
2019 BOAT SHOW
Don’t forget the 2019 Vancouver International Boat Show returns this Wednesday, February 6th. Show hours are 10am – 8pm Wednesday to Saturday and 10am – 5pm on Sunday. Drop by the Thunderbird booth and say hi to the sales team when you are there.
FISHERMAN’S COVE FUEL DOCK UPDATE – GREAT NEWS!
We are hearing positive reports from Bruce about the reopening of the gas dock after the devasting wind storm on December 20, 2018. It sounds as if it will be back up and running in a week or two. Give Bruce a call at (604) 921-7333 before heading out to pick up fuel.
